TWO people were shot dead, a 58-year-old man committed suicide and a 9-year-old girl is fighting for her life after getting hit by a stray bullet, all in Manila, the Police Office reported on Tuesday. In the report, it appeared that Eugene Jacinto, 55, president of the Asuncion Sucor Parola Tondo Tricycle Operator’s Drivers Association (ASPTTODA), was shot and killed while riding his tricycle at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday near Gate 1 of Parola in Tondo, Manila. The triggerman, who wore a black jacket and black bull cap, remained unidentified. The motive was still uncertain. In a separate incident, a computer shop caretaker was shot and killed early Tuesday morning by a man, who entered the shop in Barrio Menu, Dagupan Street, Tondo. Police investigators said the victim and the suspect had verbal tussle prior to the incident. The caretaker, identified as Herbert Cando, 37, was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. In a separate incident also, Conrado Gutierrez Sr., 58, died after jumping from the fourth floor of the Tutuban Center Mall on Monday. He died on the spot. Meanwhile, a nine-year-old girl remained critical at Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital after she was hit by a stray bullet on Monday during a frat war in Balut, Tondo. The victim, whose name was withheld as she is a minor, was playing when she was hit by a stray bullet from the warring Exoduc Gang and M-Hugs Group.
