Typhoon Ruby (international codename: Hagupit) made its third landfall before noon Monday in Marinduque province, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Although Ruby has weakened to a tropical storm with maximum winds of 105 kph and gustiness of 135 kph, it is expected to dump intense rain in Metro Manila and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.) The weather bureau declared an orange rainfall warning in these areas, meaning that 15-30 mm of rain can fall in an hour and can continue in the next two hours.
Ruby first hit land near Dolores in eastern Samar on Saturday. It made landfall again on Sunday in Cataingan town in Masbate province.
