After being temporarily suspended on Wednesday for safety reasons, Light and Metro Rail Transit (LRT/MRT) operations have finally resumed Thursday at 5 am.
LRT/MRT spokesperson Hernando Cabrera via Twitter earlier said that operations will resume as soon as there is sufficient power supply.
“LRT/MRT now with sufficient power supply, will resume operations at 5 am,” Cabrera said in a Tweet.
On Wednesday, operations were suspended for track clearing activities and safety inspections.
It was also noted that there were some debris on the tracks of the transit systems.
Electricity in a number of areas in Metro Manila have been shut down to avoid possible damage caused by strong winds and heavy rains spawned by typhoon “Glenda.”
